    The 5-days Microsoft 20417D Upgrading your Skills to MCSA Windows Server 2012 Training course describes the functionalities in Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2, including virtualization, management, access control, storage, identity federation, network infrastructure, and high availability.


    Several technologies taught in this course include Windows PowerShell, Active Directory, Storage Spaces, and Internet Small Computer System interface (iSCSI), Hyper-V, implementation of Remote Access solutions such as DirectAccess, VPNs, and Web Application Proxy (WAP).


    This course is not a product upgrade course. Rather, this course will update your knowledge with Windows Server 2012, including Windows Server 2012 R2.

    This course is intended for IT Professionals who have relevant experience working on Windows Server system and are familiar to carry out day to day Windows Server management and maintenance tasks.

    The course will advance their skills to Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2.

    Pre-requisites

    Before attending this course, candidates must have:

    • Relevant experience working on Windows Server system in an Enterprise environment

    Note: It is possible to take this course without having the qualifying upgradeable certification once the criteria of equivalent knowledge is met.

    However, subsequent taking and passing of the 70-417 upgrade exam will not provide the exam taker with the MCSA: Windows Server 2012 credential.
