What makes Agile Apt for Millennial Project Managers
Off late millennials have become the new face of organizations across the globe, it is believed that by 2025 75% of the global workforce would be millennials. In fact, Accenture has confirmed that two-third of their organization runs with the support of the millennials.

Millennials today are even found in the project management arena. In fact, one can make out whether a project manager is a millennial or they represent the Gen x based on the approach that they choose. Since millennials prefer agile approach to lead their projects.

Here are some reasons why the Agile approach is the core to millennials project managers.

    • Empowers individuals: Agile approach gives teams to shape and a good structure in terms of experience and technical support. In fact, it takes care of the fact that the teams can interact with one another where they come together and share their opinions or any changes to take the task ahead. This helps team members in valuing continual learning, humility, and openness which promotes the importance of strengths and weaknesses.
    • Transparency: Millennials believe in keeping things transparent while they can look at the bigger picture. Thus, they wish to participate in a shared vision. This lead teams to a point where they brainstorm about what all will work and what won’t.
    • Visibility: Is one of the critical elements because it impacts the teams’ work distribution and fosters quick decision making that leads to effective project management. Thus, if tasks are not explained properly work can get monotonous for the team which means project managers must lead and communicate from time to time.
    • Develops trust amongst the team members: Most conflicts within team members during the execution of projects are because of a lack of trust in each other. Agile allows Project managers in communicating with the team and mentor them when needed.
    • Acknowledgment: Millennials rely on acknowledgment once things are communicated. This not only helps them in planning their course of action but also helps them in staying prepared for the what-ifs.
    • Perspective: To boost learning and the mindset to grow depends upon how the project manager approach their teams while allocating the tasks. When a project manager gives a detailed description of the tasks one needs to on day one people start to panic. Understanding this gives project managers the right perspective of taking things ahead.
    • Motivates individuals: Allocated tasks challenge professionals on a daily basis that motivates them in taking up the challenges head-on and allows organizations in slowly scaling up the required results.

    • Agility tests the organizations to build itself. And to get the right team dynamics and bonding project managers to emphasize on team performances instead of individual performances. This takes project managers in keeping up with the daily challenges and finishing it by the designated time along with the facilitated resources in hand.
